Jake's Carpet is celebrating our 44nd Anniversary this year! Now in business for 44 years we have the knowledge and experience to make your floor and window covering shopping the easiest its ever been.

Usually from the time the measurement is done to the actual installation is approximately 2 weeks.  Sometimes less, sometimes more depending on what we are doing for you.  2 weeks is a good estimate.  During this time of Covid-19 things are taking longer than usual for deliveries and installations.  
No, estimates are free of charge, however we do charge if it is an insurance estimate.  If you need an insurance estimate for your insurance company there is a service fee.  Otherwise, we will come measure and estimate your job to get you a price prior to anything being ordered or installed.
We have 5 large showrooms full of carpet, vinyl plank & tile, sheet vinyl, ceramic tile,  hardwood flooring, laminate flooring, area rugs draperies, floor cleaning products and window treatments.  We also have a huge warehouse that has many carpet and vinyl remnants. Don't let the small storefront fool you, we have it all!
Current store hours are Monday - Friday from 11 AM - 5PM and Saturday from 10 AM-2PM. We are closed on Sundays and major holidays

We have two payment policies.  If we are installing the job, once your job is measured and estimated, we require a deposit to order.  We then order the all the materials needed to complete the job.  Once the materials are all received, we call you to schedule an installation date.  The balance is due upon completion of the installation.

Cash & Carry and window covering invoices are required to be paid in full prior to ordering the materials.

We take cash, check, Mastercard, Visa, American Express and Discover 


As of July 1, 2009 The Home Improvement Consumer Protection Act went into effect in the state of Pennsylvania.  The law establishes a mandatory registration program for contractors who offer or perform home improvements in PA.  It establishes minimum insurance requirements, requires contractors to provide their registration number, prohibits unfair business practices, and creates a criminal penalty for home improvement fraud.  Jake's Carpet is compliant with this law and our contractor number is PAOAGHIC001689.
Although this happens infrequently, if you have to cancel an order we look at each situation individually.  If we had to special order something for you, there is usually a restocking fee that would be charged.

When you are sent your final invoice, you are also sent all the warranty, care and cleaning guides that pertain to your new flooring.
